The benefits
of Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is a cactus-like plant known for its healing and medicinal properties. Its stems store water, creating a clear, gel-like substance in the leaves that contains vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and amino acids. It contains countless virtues and healing properties, making it an extraordinary first-aid solution for both internal and external use.

Aloe Vera provides deep, long-lasting hydration that combats dryness, ensuring smooth, soft, supple and refreshed skin all day long. Aloe Vera also promotes intestinal health, soothing the stomach lining and reducing irritation and acid reflux.

Aloe Vera transformation process

The Aloe Vera in our products is organically grown, without pesticides or insecticides. The majority of our Aloe Vera comes from Mexico. It's very important to us that the ingredient that makes up the vast majority of our products is pure and environmentally friendly.

The leaves are hand-picked when ripe, when the plant is at least 1 metre or +3 feet high and around 3 years old.
They are then quickly transported to the extraction centre to avoid contamination and enzymatic oxidation of the leaf gel.
In the hours that follow, the leaves are stripped of their skin in order to extract the gelatinous, semi-solid inner net. The yellowish, sticky sap from the leaves is removed as it contains aloin, an irritant and purgative component. Aloin is often referred to as latex, sap, exudate or juice. This is why all ALOEX finished products are made only from the gel of the inner leaf, free from this undesirable substance.

Aloe Vera is the central, inner part of the leaf. It is ground to remove the water, which accounts for almost 99% of the net, and then filtered to ensure that the aloin is also removed. In this way, only the biologically active constituents of the plant are preserved. The liquefied gel is then presented as a juice to which a minimal quantity of preservatives is added, again to prevent oxidation and protect the nutrients contained in the plant.
